WR4001 Wood impregnation

Osmo Wood Impregnation WR 4001,

Ideal as extra protection for outdoor softwoods. A clear wood impregnation that serves as preventive protection against blueing, insects, etc etc. Penetrates deep into the wood - prevents swelling and shrinkage and is extremely water repellent with a very low odor during application and is completely odorless after drying.

Osmo Wood Impregnation WR: Ideal as a base coat for use with oil-based products (such as Osmo UV Oil, Single Stain, Natural Oil Stain, Terrace Oil, Country House Paint) etc.

All Osmo products can be used for the final finish, please note this is not a stand alone product! so there has to be a finishing coat over it just like this applies to all other primers.

Consumption 100-150 ml per m2, from a pot of 0.75 ltr we get about 10m2 and with 2.5 ltr you can do about 25 to 30m2 depending on the type of wood (pine/pine etc consumes a little more).

drying time,
Approximately 24 hours (under normal conditions, 23°C/50% humidity RH). Ventilate well during drying. Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity can extend drying times.

1L is approximately sufficient for 5 – 6 m2 with one layer

Osmo Holzimpragnierung WR 4001 contains solvents, so make sure you always wear protective materials during processing, mask, gloves, etc. Technical data sheets and/or MSDS Safety Sheet are available on request.

tips,

WR 4001 is not a wood finish and is a base coat only. A finishing product from the Osmo range is required within three months.
If possible, apply to all sides of the wood for best protection. Wipe the excess off the edges with a dry cloth before letting it dry.
Some applications may allow the wood fibers to lift, lightly sanding if necessary to smooth the surface. Use safely. Always read the label and product information before use.

Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%).
Osmo WR 4001 is ready for use, please do not dilute. Stir well before use. Thoroughly clean old microporous stains. Old paints and varnishes must be completely removed. In general, wear a dust mask when sanding. Reseal packaging after use. This product should not be allowed to enter the aquatic environment, the soil or the sewage system.
Protect the environment (eg soil, plants, aquatic environment) against splashes of Osmo WR Base Coat 4001.
Do not apply in damp conditions or when rain is imminent.

Instructions,
Apply by spreading the following special lacquer roller and/or brushes thinly and evenly along the wood structure. Number of layers required: 2-3, depending on wood type and surface characteristics.
Generously cover the clean, dry and frost-free wood - on all sides if possible.
For best results, the product should be applied evenly. Processing temperature: 10 - 30°C.
